Meenjhar is working with Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation to implement the Surya Ghar Yojana among tribal areas devoid of power for ages. Since the beginning of the scheme on Feb 15, 2025, Meenjhar has worked on 130 applications for the allotment of solar power panel 2KW.

Issue
Lack of electricity for the tribes living in the mountains. Poor grades for the kids due to no electricity.
Root cause :
1. Difficult in traversing undulating Arravalli terrains
2. Government limitation to conduct construction activity in the green forest area.
Action Taken
Identify the tribes and make sure they benefit from schemes like PM Surya Ghar Yojans (providing 40% subsidy on such setups) and get solar panels under the mentorship of government collaboratives. The project received significant assistance from students of NSS and local schools.
